Annotation: A book of reversos or reversible verse based on familiar fairy tale characters like Snow White and the Wicked Witch and Little Red Riding Hood.
Personal Reaction: What a fun book!  The poems are so cleverly written that all readers will enjoy the fun with words and poetry.  This is a good book for use in English classes or Creative Writing instruction. There is instruction at the end on how the reader can create their own revisable verse.
Illustration: The colors help to illustrate the poems in reverse with each poem having a different color background.  The page opposite the poems is painted in vibrant colors to illustrate the narrative of each opposite poem.
Use of Media: The vibrant paintings illustrate each poem features the main character.  In the full page artwork one half features Snow White with the dwarves right next to the Wicked Witch.
Use of literary device: Rhyme is found in almost each of the poems.  Sophisticated language is used in some poems where casual words are inserted.  For example, in the poem Rapunzel’s Locks the slang phrase “you know” is inserted.
