Annotation:  A visual interpretation of the final 9/11 report.  The author creates a simultaneous timeline of events for each airplane. Other chapters  show the rise of terrorism and Al Qaeda and how the US government’s various agencies responded.
Personal Reaction: This adaptation is excellent for children and adults alike.  The creators have been able to setup this story in a manner that is not only comprehendible but engaging despite the uncomfortable topic. The authors do a good job of portraying the different agencies and primary persons involved not only during but before and after the event.
Illustration: The illustrations make this rendition.  Obviously the author and illustrator worked hard and presenting a format that would not only do justice to the events but also provide a comprehensive adaptation.  The comic book art is not lurid or overly sensationalized.  There are details which add illumination like the simple drawing of the World Trade Center complex and map of Saudi Arabia showing where the airplane terrorists were from.
Use of Media: The use of comic book art for this edition works very well.  It allows for multiple layers of the story to be told at the same time and creates an understanding that is easier for readers to grasp.
