Annotation:  How do other children in other countries go to school?  Some children go by boat to school, some have school on a boat, some have school by computer.  Every country has different kinds of schools.
Personal Reaction:  What a terrific book.  School and the school building is a simple concept for most children but this book has the reader think outside of their world and see the varied ways that different countries conduct school. For every country there is a map and an informational insert. This book would be great for social studies, geography, world history and conversations about differences in the world.
Illustration:  The colored photos are rich and vibrant.  Individual children are depicted along with a picture of the school building to accompany the narrative.
Use of Media: Drawings could have been used but the actual pictures of people and places lend a reality to their life.
